From 18 to 24 November 2018, Mr. Dang Hoai Phuc/Sao Mai's Executive Director and Mr. Phung Minh Tuan/Media Staff went on a trip to Mongolia to study and suggest plans for the MNFB's technology development programs.
Introducing two new software developed by Sao Mai: the Sao Mai Typing Tutor (SMTT) for both new computer learners/teachers to improve typing skills/manage students' keyboard learning activities; and the Sao Mai Braille (SMB), a rich-text editor + Braille translation program.
Two new major features are: able to input and translate math equations into UEB standard and converting images into Braille tactile graphic.
Sao Mai Center has just completed a series of Sao Mai Braille (SMB) tutorial in video format. All these videos have been uploaded to our official YouTube channel.
From July 23-26, Sao Mai just hosted an advanced training on producing accessible EPUB3 and DAISY materials for 9 participants coming from different organizations for/of the blind based in HCM.
SMTT is a software product running on Windows platform, developed with the main objective to help computer beginners explore, learn and improve typing skills. SMTT also serves as a useful tool for trainers in their training activities.
