SM BungSang - A Free Braille Music Translator for Mac

SM BungSang is a Mac app designed specifically for translating music into Braille, along with other related helpful features.
If you’re using Windows, please check out Sao Mai Braille, which supports not only music translation but also text, math, and graphics in Braille.
Please note that this app is not the final release yet. We’re still working on adding new features, including expanded Braille translation options, automatic update checks, music settings profiles, Braille page numbering, and more. We truly appreciate everyone who has signed up to help test the app.
We’d love to hear your feedback, especially on accessibility, as well as any issues or bugs you may encounter while using the app. We also warmly welcome your ideas for new features and improvements. While we may not be able to implement every suggestion, your input is very valuable and helps shape our development.

Story of the name

We’d love to share a little story ❤️: “Bừng Sáng” (a Vietnamese word meaning “Shining Bright”) is the name of a small home that lovingly cares for and educates visually impaired children. It was also the name of a computer science teacher training project that took place there from 1999 to 2001.

The Sao Mai Center for the Blind, founded at the end of 2001, grew out of that journey, it is a beautiful and meaningful result of those early efforts.
We chose this name “BungSang” for the app as a way to honor the founders of Sao Mai, especially Mr. Đào Khánh Trường, who is a blind person and led the Bừng Sáng home.
