Sao Mai for the Blind sincerely invites all businesses, organizations, and individuals to participate in the conference “Employment Bridge – Accompanying Employers and People with Visual Impairments”, organized by Sao Mai with support from The Nippon Foundation.

Time, Venue, and Participants
Date: Thursday, November 27, 2025
Venue: Orchid Saigon Hotel, 192 Pasteur Street, Xuan Hoa Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Expected participants: approximately 70 people, including:
• Representatives from enterprises, employers, and HR departments.
• Graduates and job seekers with visual impairments, as well as senior university students.
• Representatives from support organizations, employment service centers, parents of visually impaired persons, and government agencies such as the Department of Labor and the Employment Bureau.
Objectives
• Strengthen connections among enterprises, visually impaired job seekers, support organizations, and government agencies to exchange needs, expectations, and collaboration opportunities.
• Raise awareness among employers and society about the working capabilities of people with visual impairments, affirming their value and contributions.
• Share solutions and best practices from companies that have successfully recruited visually impaired employees, thereby promoting effective and inclusive employment models.
• Create direct employment opportunities through the accompanying Job Fair, with on-site interviews.
• Foster long-term collaboration through mentorship, training, and communication channels established after the event.
Program Overview
I. Morning Session – Employer Forum
Time: 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM
The morning session will feature presentations, discussions, and experience-sharing focused on employment opportunities for people with visual impairments, with participation from organizations, businesses, and visually impaired individuals.
Main topics include:
• Understanding the Working Capacity of People with Visual Impairments: Young participants with visual impairments share their perspectives, skills, and potential, helping employers gain a deeper appreciation of their abilities and value in the workforce.
• Reasonable Adjustments for Inclusive Recruitment: Discussion on government support policies, real-world experiences, and measures to create accessible and equitable workplaces for employees with disabilities.
• Opportunities through Technology: Exploring the role of information technology in recruitment, training, and job creation for people with visual impairments, as well as potential for tech-based entrepreneurship.
• Role of Support and Employment Service Organizations: Introduction of networks, programs, and employment connection channels that expand access to job opportunities.
II. Afternoon Session – Job Fair
Time: 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM
The afternoon will feature a Job Fair, providing a direct networking space for enterprises, visually impaired candidates, and support organizations to foster real employment opportunities and partnerships.
Main activities:
• Introduction of Participating Enterprises and the Job Fair Model: The MC will present the list of participating companies, their industries, and an accessible layout of the fair for visually impaired participants.
• Recruitment Booths: Companies introduce available positions, receive applications, and conduct on-site interviews.
• Showcase Booths: Visually impaired professionals share their jobs, products, and success stories, spreading the message that “People with visual impairments can work effectively and equally.”
• Experience Zone: Employers and visitors explore how visually impaired employees use technology in their work, promoting understanding and collaboration.
